Frederick Hot Wood enhances the entire burning experience. The online ordering process is quick and easy. The delivery was executed perfectly to my exact directions. Finally, the best part is the wood. I have an older wood stove with a large glass front and VODA 4 blade stove fan. The first 5 starter sized pieces of FHW bring the stove up past 185 degrees which is the milestone which starts the fan. It used to take me double or triple the amount of wood to reach the same temperature. For me the speed in which the stove reaches temperature makes all the difference. When I return home in the evening I don’t have time to waste. Starting a fire with normal seasoned wood used to require a starter log or a decent amount of paper. Now I just light a few of the smaller pieces; close the door and walk away. They catch just as quickly if not quicker than a starter log. Lastly, and probably my favorite benefit of using the kiln dried wood is it burns clean with very little smoke. I love the smell of a good fire but there’s a big difference in the beautiful fire smell versus my house smells like it’s on fire. Well at least that’s what my wife says! Before the draw becomes stronger I used to get a bunch of smoke kicking back in the room. With FHW there is very little smoke from start to finish. I’ll finish with I don’t typically take the time to write a review but I felt strongly that I needed to voice my praise of this wood and company. Well done FHW. You have a long time customer. For me it is the convenience, I don't have time to meet someone at the house to show them where to drop the firewood. I also can pay online, I mean how much easier could it get?

Frederick Hot Wood has been a fantastic company to work with! I started with the initial wood with rack, and cover, and have just had my first “reload”. I can assure any potential client that this is the real deal, and you will be extremely happy with your purchase. I run a medium sized wood stove, every day, and could not be happier. Here are the perks:
- delivery is immediate, and placed wherever you ask - stacked....done!
- this wood burns hot, and for a good amount of time. We run our damper at 35-45% open compared to 60-70% with store bought, or cord wood.
- the rack, and cover are of great quality. The cover has an easy access Velcro side (with a snap buckle back up).
- the wood is of consistent length, clean, and comes in a good mix of diameters.
- this wood catches effortlessly, and does in fact burn very clean.
- I had 10 logs on the rack when I called for a reload. When I got home, I had not only a full rack, but 12 or so logs under the rack. They did not “top me off”; they gave me what I paid for.
FHW has been great, and I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for high quality, ready to burn wood!
